Nokia’s VP of Product Marketing, Ilari Nurmi has left the company according to a report by Reuterstoday.
Nurmi has been working for Nokia since 1998 according to his LinkedIn profile, and was previously in charge of marketing of Nokia Eseries business smartphones, which did pretty darn well.
This is possibly the worst time for the company, with the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 yet to launch, rumors of the Finnish company having to sell their Espoo HQ and the dropping share prices. Times are tough but there’s no indication if Nurmi was let go or left of his own accord.
Either way, we wish him the best and hopefully Nokia has a good replacement in mind.
