How Everyone Was Fooled By Fake Sony Nexus X Images

By Harsh Vardhan (Facebook) (Twitter)

On 15th October we posted a topic about a image leaked on Picasa claiming itself to be Sony Nexus X. Yet on that day we weren't convinced to believe with this new rumour of Nexus. However it's now confirmed that the leaked images was Fake.

So the story goes on like this Ti Kawamoto faked Sony Nexus X. The irony lies on the fact that he himself confirmed that the images were not real and he was just testing some 3D images on Photoshop.

However a brief summary of the event goes on like this

  • On Sunday, October 14th 2012 5:30 PM EST he created a Picasa Account and uploaded the Fake images.
  • On Monday, October 15th 2012 9:30 AM EST "XPERIA BLOG" uploaded this topic "Is this the Nexus X?"
  • Within a Small Span of time this News were replicated on various Websites, Blogs with different language followed by leading quality news source "THE VERGE".
  • However the people commented about it being Fake but all such reasons about Pixels were not correct as Photoshop was not used in creating this image.
  • None tried to contact the creator of the Picasa Account however others were just busy rendering their inquisitiveness reading various articles on web.

So finally its proposed that the images which appeared on the web was Fake. For more details about how the texturing of images were done one must see here.

Those who are still prone to what happened that day and created a 90,000 Google results on typing "Sony Nexus X" check here.
