Samsung Galaxy S IV Concept Design

Samsung Galaxy S IV is not yet announced but the popularity of this series has already made techies out there to speculate the features of this futuristic device. We've already heard about the unbreakable displays, CES announcements but now we have our very first concept design. A Russian blog rozetked has given us all a concept design featuring a super-svelte form factor,  laser keyboard, edge-to-edge display and Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

It would be great to see Galaxy S IV at CES 2013, although Samsung may organize it's own special event for this beast.

Key Lime Pie To Be The Next Version Of Android, Says A Pic Put Up By Google

There were rumors that Android's next version will be named Key Lime Pie. Well, a Google employee, Manu Cornet, recently posted the below pic on Google+. It shows the evolution of Android flavors in the past years starting with Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread and Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean and '"the next version". And our guess is its Key Lime Pie.

In the recent Android event, where new Nexus devices were launched, Google introduced Android 4.2. So we are expecting Google to introduce Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at some point in 2013.

Invites Are Out From Google For Android Event On October 29th

Google has sent out invites for an Android event which is going to be held in New York on October 29th.

No-doubt the event will entirely focus around Android related announcements. To start with, we think Google will launch it's next version of Android OS, Android 4.2 (Key Lime Pie)

Rumors are also that Google is will be announcing the 32 GB variant of their most popular tablet, Nexus 7, and also if all the rumors proves to be correct, we might also end with a $99 Nexus 7. OMG!! Right?? but still don't get your hopes to high as chances are very rare.

Well speaking about Nexus, it's likely that Google might announce their next Nexus smartphone at this event powered with the latest android firmware that will be launched at the very same day. We've heard enough about LG Nexus 4 lately along with a leaked pics of Sony Nexus. We don't know which one it's going to be.

Anyways, all our doubts will be cleared on October 29th. In case you miss the event, not to worry, we will be covering it here at Hackinthus.

Next Android Version Could Be Named Kandy Cane or Key Lime Pie

Recently, Google came out with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at "Google I/O 2012 developer conference" in San Francisco. Users will be able to view the 'Easter eggs' by heading to Settings -> About Phone -> repeatedly tap the screen. After tapping a single Jelly Bean appears on the screen, and when the user keeps his/her finger pressed on that Jelly Bean they can see multi-coloured Jelly Beans floating on the screen.(Oooh!)
Not only that, after a few Beans a 'candy cane' has been noticed, according to Android Community. Reports suggest that the candy cane in red and white could be the hint for the next version of Android.

Android 1.0, the very first version, was released long back in September 2008. HTC Dream was the first Android device to run on the Android 1.0. In 2009, Android 1.1 update was released and initially T-Mobile G1 was the device to adopt it.
In March The Verge was informed by a reliable source that Google might be using the name 'Key Lime Pie' for the upcoming Android version after Jelly Bean.
