Apple - Licensing Deal Over Clock Icon in iOS6

Apple released iOS6 on September 19, 2012 with the clock icon which looks exactly like the the famous station clock at the Swiss Federal Railway (SBB). The SBB then demanded for financial compensation, since it violated the railway's clock trademark.

Apple, now has finally signed a deal with the SBB to license the use of the railway's clock on iOS devices. However, the financial terms of the agreement were not released.

The clock design was designed in 1944 by Hans Hilfiker, and now the trademark is owned by the Swiss Federal Railway.

It also licenses the design to Mondaine to produce watches.
