Give your iPhone a tint of Blackberry

Most cell phone users are not so fond of touch, that is they find typing on a physical keyboard much comfortable than on a virtual touch keyboard. Blackberry is mostly known for its comfortable QWERTY keyboard and its Business supported features but iPhone is known for its unique iOS, features and amazing applications. So sometimes it really becomes very tough for people to decide which phone to use. A solution for this problem has been shown in the CES 2013.
What if you get an iPhone with an QWERTY physical keypad??

Yes it is possible, the 'Spike physical keyboard' developed by SoloMatrix will make it possible. Spike, is a protective case that has a hinged physical QWERTY keyboard, which can be overlaid on an iPhone's display. This device does not even touch the screen, this keyboard uses a printed circuit board to simulate a key strokes without physically needing to touch the screen. Spike is compatible with iPhone 4/4S/5 and is now even available in market.

CES '13 : Firefox OS Appears On An Unknown Smartphone

Firefox OS was out for users to experience it on an 'unknown' smartphone.

After having a look at the OS, one will definitely say that there is nothing new Mozilla has done with the user interface. I mean when Windows Phone was out, people were really excited about it's UI being different from usual smartphones.. Right??
And talking about the device on which it was running, totally resembled HTC Wildfire. Device was powered by an ARMv6 processor and had 256 MB of RAM. Quiet low!! Mozilla is planning to take on the top-end of the market with this OS.

Getting into the OS, its a web-based firmware coded entirely in HTML 5 and is gonna attract those who want a really powerful smartphone with hardcore OS but don't have budget for an iPhone 5 or GS III.
Mozilla is already in partnership with leading companies such as Qualcomm and Telefonica.

Amazingly 'Smart' Right?!!?
Not only this LG revealed VU  II which features a 5-inch IPS display along with Optimus G that claims to be the world's first Quad-Core LTE-enabled smartphone powered with Snapdragon's S4 processor.

Wait.. how can we miss out Sony?? Sony announced Cybershot WX80 which is also Wifi enabled and can share directly from the camera to a smartphone or a tablet. It has a built-in projector. Sony will also be showing the first 4K consumer camcorder prototype. Sony will also be demonstrating world's first 4K consumer camcorder prototype.

Televisions

If you own a 2012 model, then Samsung's gonna provide you with 'Evolution kit', a small box that plugs into  your existing Smart TV, giving you all these new features.

Panasonic spoke about its upcoming "my Home Screen" feature, which offers a customized menu for 2013 Smart TVs. Another eye-catching thing was the HSN (Home Shopping Network) Shop by Remote app that lets users buy stuffs directly from their TV.

If you think 75 inches is huge.. you've have seen nothing!!
LG is out with a 100-inch Mega Smart TV, which will be available for users to purchase very soon. LG's new series of 4K TVs will be way smarter with its 2.2 channel sound and Cinema 3D. LG is currently working with companies like Activision, Google and Disney to produce more 4K stuff.

CES '13 : Solid state Hard drives by WD !! [Photos]

Portable Hard disk have always been a powerful solution for backing up data or Hiding contents from unauthorized access if your laptop or Pc is not personal and there are always changes coming in the looks and structure of HD . So WD has made more changes and made it thinner and more portable. It has launched two variants black and blue.

WD Blue 1TB regular hard drive, WD Black SSHD, and WD Blue SSHD

CES '13 : Combination of battery and Bluetooth 'Tethercell'

Till now CES 2013 has come up with a lot of surprises, and one of them is the 'Tethercell'. This prototype has been developed by the company Tetherboards and they are planning to mass produce it.

Now talking about this device, it has been made by combining the concept of a simple dry cell battery and a Bluetooth  As you can see in the picture above it is of the same size as of a AA type battery, but it contains a AAA battery with the Bluetooth chip attached to it. As we know that in this technological era all things around us run on electricity and among which maximum percent of portable devices uses batteries for power. Now with this new device you can control the switching On/Off of any device using AA batteries just by using your cell phone, you can even put a timer as to for how much time the battery should power the device, which will be energy also. This device can also inform you that how much more power is left in the batteries so that people can keep track of changing batteries of crucial devices such as fire alarm system and various other security systems.
Apart from the advantages it also has some minor disadvantages. Such as the bluetooth chip consumes some of the power continuously from the battery but when used in combination of many batteries this disadvantage fades out. As this device is still in its development stage, these things can be ignored and we can expect that in future this concept will also be applied in all other types of battery and will bring a revolution in powering technology.
