Google has cancelled the much awaited Android Event that was scheduled for today (October 29th) in New York City due to Hurricane sandy.Google said " We are cancelling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more."
According to TheVerge, "On Friday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency in response to the incoming storm, and Google's event was set to take place on a waterfront pier, which is now in an evacuation zone."
We were expecting Google to release its all new Nexus devices along with Android 4.2. Now I guess we have to wait for some more time to get hold of these.
Although Google has cancelled its event, Microsoft will still announce its all new Windows Phone 8 OS today(29th October).
