Yesterday,google launched sms feature in india and india was added to the list of other 50 countries receiving this update.The new service lets Indian Gmail users send an SMS from a Gmail window to a mobile phone and receive replies as chat messages.
Google is offering every Gmail customers a credit of 50 SMS that they can use. For every SMS sent, the credit decreases by one while every reply to the SMS in Chat increases the credit by five. However, the upper cap for the SMS credit at any time cannot exceed 50.
Eight major mobile service operators in India will support this Gmail SMS service. They are: Aircel, Idea, Loop Mobile, MTS, Reliance, Tata DoCoMo, Tata indicom and Vodafone (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal & Andaman and Nicobar, Assam, North East).Its currently working only on Pcs and desktop

In website like way2sms.160by2 provide free sms but they don't give you an option to reply back but using this google sms you can both send and receive sms.
People in india already have sms packs starting from Rs 4 to Rs 52 and different platforms like whatsapp and nimbuzz,why would people use google sms this question is still unanswered and we are also hearing its not being supported by many of the telecom partners right now so let us know
