Lately, Samsung Vice-President JK Shin has confirmed to a news website news1 that Galaxy Note 10.1 little brother Galaxy Note 8.0 will be unveiled in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. However this was lately in rumor these days but finally the official from Samsung has himself confirmed about the release. SamMobile has also leaked some of it's specification and is a trusted source to rely on, however it's nothing official yet about the specs.

Here is the list of specs we know so far :-

Code name: KONA
Android version: 4.2 Jelly Bean
Official name: GALAXY Note 8.0 (3G, Wi-Fi)
Product codes: GT-N5100, GT-N5110
Battery: 4600 mAh
Dimension: 211.3×136.3×7.95 mm , 330 gram.
Display: 8.0”1280×800 TFT (Super Clear LCD)
GSM networks: EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) HSPA+21.1Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps (850/900/1900/2100)
Camera: 5 Megapixel (BACK)
Camera: 1.3 megapixel (FRONT)
Processor: 1.6 quad-core processor
RAM + Storage: 2GB (RAM) + 16/32GB (optional) + micro-SD (up to 32GB)
Connections: BT 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS

It looks like Samsung is trying to compete with the latest iPad Mini around in market but as we are not sure about the specs we can't compare anything much. But seems a good move for Samsung. As for the Galaxy S IV, that won’t be unveiled at MWC — as we suspected — but it will be arriving “soon,” Shin said.

SamMobile has also received a tip on their website which looks like the Note 8.0
