HTC is set to upset some users after mentioning their update requirements for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. So the basic draw back that just landed with their requirement is if your Phone has 512 MB RAM, you cant have the feature to update your phone. This is pretty disappointing considering two HTC devices, the Desire C and One V which was released this year and has left its user back to their restriction in updating.
We explored the technical side. Well what could be your first instance? A 512 Mb Ram cannot run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Right? Well, sorry that's not the possible reason as it lies behind the mystery that HTC doesnt want to put in the effort to upgrade the other devices and focus elsewhere. If you see on the other side of it, if you keen to know about the RAM thing, How much RAM does the Nexus S has? 512 Mb? Yeah! Right and it runs Jelly Bean 4.1 :)
Aside from HTC One and One S which will for sure be getting the upgrade, but officially the company has been quiet about their update schedule. Phones such as the Desire X and Desire SV having 768 MB of RAM and what about the phone from last year? Sensation, Evo 3D and Rezound !
HTC has really disappointed many of its customers which have the capability of running Jelly Bean and still left in dark without such update.
Let us know if you have an HTC with 512 Mb and pity yourself about no such update in the software part as the company could have focused to simply see the previous released phones in the comment section.
