Happy Birthday To Android As It Turns 5

Google's Android, one of the most popular mobile OS, has turned 5.

Google recently announced that they had recorded more than 500 million Android smartphones activated by September. Google claims that the adoption percentage of the Android OS on their Android Developer site is as follows :

Android OS	Adoption Percentage
Android v4.1 Jelly Bean	2.7 %
Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich	25.8 %
Android v2.3 Gingerbread	54.2%
Android v2.2 Froyo	12%

Slow growth of Jelly Bean is not so shocking considering the compatibility of the OS with the number of devices out there.
