Now you can swipe your finger to the left anywhere in the app to see who's available and send a message. You can also add the friends you message most to the top of your Favorites so they’re easily accessible.

Texting with Messenger on Android
On some Android phones, you can now text your contacts right from Messenger. That way, all your texts and Facebook messages are together in one place.
The update is available today and the text message feature is currently supported on the HTC EVO 3D, HTC One X, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Hub, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy S3, and Samsung Galaxy Y.
An update to Messenger for Android is available today. An update to Messenger for iOS will be available soon.
