Google and Samsung entered into partnership to develop the Nexus lineup of smartphones, that offer a real experience of the Android operating system. The Galaxy Nexus is the third generation Google smartphone, which is the successor of the search engine giant’s flagship handsets, the Nexus One made by HTC and Nexus S made by Samsung.
Though Samsung Galaxy Nexus was unveiled in October 2011 and was released in many other countries such as Europe and United States, it did not make its way into India for so long.
However, it seems like the Korean tech giant has released the Galaxy Nexus in India for a price of Rs 25,900.
As per a report from BGR, a Twitter user, @lastavenger has spotted the smartphone at a Samsung Store in Bangalore, priced at RS 25,900. The user has also posted a picture, which exposes the rear casing of the smartphone with the Google and Samsung logos emblazoned on it. The report also claims that a Samsung spokesperson has denied the release of Galaxy Nexus in India.
It is to be noted that, in May, several reports suggested that Samsung will not launch the Galaxy Nexus in India, following a tweet made by Samsung India suggesting the same.
Specifications
Galaxy Nexus sports a 4.6 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 16 GB internal memory and 1 GB RAM. The handset has a 5 MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.
