Instagram – the free photo sharing application which allows users to take a snap, apply a digital filter to it and share it on Facebook and other social networking sites has recently got updated with new features.
The 80 million users app has rolled out its latest update, v3.0 with a new feature, Photo Maps, which displays the photos that are geo-tagged with your location on a map. Moreover, the users will have the option of disabling the geotagging feature, in case they are concerned of your privacy.
Once the the user receive this update, the app brings in the ability to view the photos on map, letting the user to pin their geotagged photos to the map and club those that are taken in the same location in an album. Viewing photos on the map is not only restricted for the user’s photos, but also to the photos from the profile of others. This feature is new to Instagram andit has been available in iOS as a default feature on the phone menu and on Flickr since long.
Other Features
The other features in the update include new look for user profiles, Explore tab, location and hashtag pages, new look for the photo upload screen, many speed improvements, report individual comments as spam or abuse and automatic infinite scrolling.
