I was one of many who were secretly bothered by the fact that the iPhone lacked an external notification flasher which meant that you had to turn on the screen to check if you had any missed calls or received a message. In response to our complaints, Apple came up with a solution to this problem introducing a feature in iOS 5 called Flash for Alerts. This new option takes advantage of your camera flash turning it into a notification light to alert you when you have any new message, call or notification. It worked well, or let’s just say, it was better than nothing. However, if you add the new flash notification case, FLASHr to the new tool Apple introduced, you will take things to a whole new level.
The new flash notification case, FLASHr for iPhone is a product of Phaze5. What FLASHr does is that it reflects the notification light coming from the camera flash using reflective aluminum plating which causes the case’s translucent flame to glow. It is not just fun to look at, but it turns out it is quite useful and practical too! You can also combine this option with one of the many flash light applications for a cooler and more unique experience. You do not need to worry about your flashlight’s visibility when taking pictures as the FLASHr casing has a slide cover so you can expose your camera flash part when you need to.
