Manage Your CPU with CPU Adjuster

Ever needed to control your Cell Phone CPU? There are a variety of ways users can control their CPU's  This includes a variety of apps like Set CPU, tools like Daemon Controller, and scripts like CPU Editor Script—each with a shared set of core functions with a few unique features. There is now a new CPU app out there for root users.

The app is called CPU Adjuster, and it was released by XDA Recognized Developer "bartito". It works on Android 2.2 and up. And while it is recommended for root users, there is actually some functionality for non-root users. If you aren't rooted, the app will display your CPU stats. If you are rooted, the feature list is much longer:

You can define profiles that contains:

- CPU governor
- Max CPU Frequency
- Min CPU Frequency
- Enable/Disable cores in dual/quad cores (if kernel supports)
- CPU voltages for all frequencies (if kernel supports)
- I/O Scheduler
- GPU frequencies and voltages (if kernel supports)
- Charger voltages (if kernel supported)

You can define profiles that are automatically activated on these conditions:

- Battery low
- Temperature higher
- Screen on/off
- Charging
- Connected to PC
- Voice call started

Also, you can view CPU information, like times in state, governor max/min speed and much more.

Used permissions:

- Write external storage: To backup profiles
- Receive boot completed: To automatically start service on boot (enable in settings)
- Read phone state: To automatically detect voice call start/stop
- Internet: Added small ads (via google ads)
- Billing: For donation control (you can purcharse PRO version inside the app)

This is an excellent app if you’re looking for an alternative to the ones you may already be using, or if you just want to try something new. It’s available for free in the Google Play Store. There is also an active effort to get it translated to other languages. So if you’re not a native English speaker, then keep an eye out for translation updates.
