Bug in iOS 6.1 Allows Anyone To Pass Through Your iPhone's Lock Screen

Apple's recent update to iOS 6.1 has already been accused of quiet a lot of things, such as connectivity issues, and looks like the list is gonna get longer as one more bug has been found which allows any individual to pass the 'passcode lockscreen' on iPhone and edit information stored in contacts. (Ouch!!)

This new bug has been discovered by a user(S1riOS6) and he has described it in his video he posted on YouTube (Check it out below).

Its quiet simple.. all you need to do is :

  • Perform an emergency call from the lock screen
  • Press and hold the 'power' button followed by turning the screen off
  • Repeat the process until the Phone app is displayed.

Earlier, similar issues were found with iOS 4.1 and iOS 5 (users were able to fully unlock their iPhone via the Camera app on the Lock screen).

We are expecting Apple to provide a fix for this soon as its a very sensitive issue.
