Micromax Funbook Pro 10.1″ Specs & Features

Micromax is one of the brand which is known for low cost and good specifications packed smart phone and tablet PCs. Micromax’s first tablet PC launch (Micromax Funbook P3000) set the trends of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on device, before most of the tablet were with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, not even Honeycomb OS where we know Android 2.3 is only meant for smart phones. The result after Micromax Funbook launch is clear as many tablets launched since then are powered with atleast Android 4.0 operating and raised their bars in terms of technical specifications to compete and stay in the market of tablet PCs which will be on high until 2016.

Expanding their Android Tablet PC product line up, Micromax has announced a new Funbook tablet named Funbook Pro. While Funbook is with 7 inch touchscreen display, this is catered for the users who need large screen display and so it’s with 10.1 inches touchscreen display providing a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. While this tablet is just seen listed on the Micromax site, it should be launching within few weeks.

Funbook Pro is powered with 1.2 Ghz single core Cortex A8 processor and Dual Mali 400 provides graphical processing of multimedia at a good enough speed. Funbook Pro is loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which is latest OS version of Android by Google providing faster performance and intuitive user interface. This tablet is compatible with Google Play Store to download, access and browse thousands of Android applications available for free and paid downloads.

The tablet is loaded with various study material what called as “Edutainment”. This study material is available for classes from primary up til under-graduate level. This is also loaded with sample papers, study material for Engineering, medical and other courses along with interactive video tutorials too. This is been promoted by Micromax as one of the complete device to keep your balance between work and play.

Furthermore going through the specifications, it’s with front facing VGA camera which can be used to capture real life photos a vivid quality and it can be also used for video chat as well. The tablet is loaded with 8 GB of internal memory storage capacity to store various media files like songs, games, movies, apps and lot more. If that is not enough for you then you can expand the memory using the micro SD card supporting 32 GB of storage. It would be along with 1 GB of RAM and loaded with various sensors like Gravity, Accelerometer, G Sensors.

The tablet connects to the web using the Wi Fi internet connectivity from the nearby router or hub to provide seamless web browsing speed. The tablet is capable to play various media files for audio and video using the music player and video player.

Micromax Funbook Pro Price & Availability

Funbook Pro will be available in Suave Silver and Brilliant black color variants very soon. Micromax also didn’t provide any further details on the listing page on the pricing. However this should be priced not more than Rs 10,000 seeing the price of Funbook is at Rs 6500. This would be competing with other existing 10.1 inches tablet like Samsung Galaxy Tab 750 and HCL tablet lot more. Many sources tip this tablet to be priced at Rs 7500 but only the official launch will confirm the availability and price.
